A California native, Dr. Amar Patel grew up in Santa Cruz and received his Bachelors of Science from UC Davis and his Doctorate in Dentistry from Temple University. Since then, he has completed continued education through the Kois Center as well as additional training through Spear Education. Dr. Patel’s time at the Kois Center only grew his passion for “people-focused” dentistry. He’s not looking at you as another statistic or mouth to fix. Dr. Patel sees you as the person you are, with goals and dreams of a healthier smile and a happier life.

Off the Clock

Though he loves using his dental health talents to serve the Walnut Creek community, Dr. Patel makes sure to take time to have fun and decompress. Outside of the office, Dr. Patel loves spending time with his wife Pooja and going to the beach in Santa Cruz.

He also enjoys watching Chelsea F.C, the Golden State Warriors, and the San Francisco 49ers, as well as playing basketball, soccer, and exploring national parks. His love for the outdoors doesn’t just stop with a scenic stroll through the parks, however. Dr. Patel has found a love for snowboarding over the last several years, taking advantage of some of California’s amazing slopes.

Dr. Patel enjoys a good cup of coffee and is slowly adding to his collection of coffee-making gadgets. He dedicates time to those in his community by volunteering as a youth leader at the local BAPS Hindu temple.
